Grounded by design
Hukōn returns the body to its natural squat — a quiet upgrade to one of the most overlooked moments of the day.
Sitting at 90° works against the body
Standard toilets hold the hips near 90°. Independent research suggests this position may be less efficient for elimination than a squat-like posture.
A daily habit almost nobody questions
Straining is common, and rarely talked about
Existing solutions ask for plumbing, or barely change the angle
One gentle shift, from 90° to 35°

Hukōn rests on the existing toilet and sets the body into a natural squat. Lift it off, and the bathroom is exactly as it was.
- Easy to installSits onto a standard toilet — no tools, no plumbing
- 35°Full 35° squatThe natural angle, not just raised knees
- 2Dual modeLift it off and sit normally in no time
The concept is informed by independent research
Independent studies of squatting and posture-modifying devices — not of Hukōn — suggest that greater hip flexion may improve rectoanal alignment, reduce reported straining, and support faster, more complete-feeling bowel movements.

0.85 minutes during squatting versus 2.16 minutes during standard sitting, in a study of healthy adults.
Sikirov, 2003 ↗Hukōn's 35° target angle is a product design specification. The cited studies evaluated deep squatting, standard sitting, or footstool-based posture modification, in small samples. Hukōn has not yet been clinically evaluated, and these findings do not establish the prevention or treatment of any disease.
The only 2-in-1 on the shelf
Squatty Potty raises the knees. Other devices require plumbing. Hukōn brings you closer to a true squat while still offering a normal sit — from the same product.

Hukōn is built inside Craftology — a studio focused on tangible products that improve daily life.

Leads the mechanical design and the prototype generations. Enjoys the part where a sketch finally holds weight.

Runs partnerships, production planning and go-to-market. Joined because the problem is universal and quietly ignored.

Shapes the form, materials and user experience. Believes a health product should look like it belongs in the home.
Early users noticed the difference

Aggregated feedback from our prototype pilot
- Most early users reported a noticeable change in sitting posture
- Users described the experience as more natural and comfortable
- Early feedback showed interest in using Hukōn as part of the everyday bathroom routine
